Lara Logan
Lara Logan, born 29 March 1971 is a South African radio and television journalist and war reporter. She was a CBS News correspondent from 2002 until 2018.60 Minutes executive producer Jeff Fager described her factually inaccurate, politically biased report in 2012 Benghazi as "the worst mistake I have made in the last 10 years." In 2019, she joined Sinclair Broadcast Group, which is a conservative-leaning media firm. [4] In January 2020 she joined Fox Nation (a subscription streaming service operated by Fox News). She stated that she had been "dumped by the company" in March 2022. Logan worked as an editor for the Sunday Tribune in Durban during her studies (1988-1989) as well as in the city's Daily News (1990-1992). She was hired by Reuters Television Africa in 1992 as a senior producer. After four years she branched into freelance journalism, obtaining assignments as a reporter and editor/producer at ITN as well as Fox/SKY, CBS News, ABC News (in London), NBC, and the European Broadcasting Union. CNN employed her to report on events such as the 1998 United States Embassy bombings in Nairobi, Tanzania and the conflict in Northern Ireland.
