Jennifer Rene Psaki

 Jennifer Rene Psaki is an American political advisor who worked as the 34th White House press secretary from 2021 to 2022. A member of the Democratic Party, Psaki was previously the White House deputy secretary (2009), White House deputy communication director (2009-2011) as well as spokesperson for the United States Department of State 2013-2015, and White House communications Director (2015-2017). Psaki contributed to CNN's political coverage from 2017 through 2020. Psaki's career began in 2001 when she worked in the reelection campaign of Tom Harkin, an Iowa Democrats for the U.S. Senate. Psaki later served as press secretary in John Kerry's 2004 presidential election campaign. Psaki also worked as communications director for Joseph Crowley (U.S.) and was the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. In 2012, Psaki returned to political communications, serving as press secretary to President Obama's 2012 reelection campaign. 20 Psaki resigned as spokesperson for United States Department of State, on February 11 2013. [20] Her hiring in the Department of State fueled speculation that she would succeed White House Press Secretary Jay Carney as he left for the White House. However on May 30, 2014, it was announced that Josh Earnest would replace Carney. She was appointed communications director at the White House and continued to perform this role until the end of the year in 2015.
